Making the Most of Your Twitter Profile

It takes me a split second to decide if I’m going to follow someone on Twitter.  I have a new follower’s column on my Tweetdeck and I give it a quick scan daily to find new interesting people to follow.  However, there are few things that put me off. As a business you only have […]

Keep it Simple!

I came across this whilst researching today, via @mashable and I think it’s brilliant.   It’s such a simple but hugely effective way of using Location Based Social Networks, FourSquare in this case, to generate buzz around your business and reward your loyal customers.  It takes very little to put in place, besides printing off an […]

Is your Facebook Fanpage Engaging?

I must admit that my Fanpage was rather boring, like most people I set it up and then pretty much forgot about it. Facebook has 350 million users, 50% of these users log on daily and spend at least an hour on it, so I was missing out on an excellent opportunity to build my […]

Using Twitter Lists for Professional Development

When the list feature came out on Twitter I couldn’t see what all the fuss was about but now I find them very useful for professional development, monitoring how people perceive you (check out what lists you are on) and if you want you can spy on the competition without following them. They’re really easy […]

Problems Dragging and Dropping when using Smart and Windows 7

In the last week I’ve had this happen twice.  When using Windows 7 and Smartboard V 10.6 dragging and dropping was behaving sporadically.  Apparently there’s a conflict with the electronic pen that is built into Windows 7 but it’s really easy to fix. Just go into 1.  Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Pen and Touch 2.  Click […]
